HOW TO
Seated Leg Curl technique.
Use a load and range you can control consistently.
- Adjust the machine so the knee joint lines up comfortably with its pivot and the pad sits above the ankles.
- Brace against the seat and begin with the legs near straight.
- Curl the pad down by bending the knees.
- Pause briefly in the shortened position.
- Return slowly until the hamstrings are lengthened without forcing the knees.

MUSCLES WORKED
Hamstrings.
Muscle contribution changes with setup, range, load and individual technique.
COMMON MISTAKES
Keep the rep consistent.
- Letting the hips lift away from the seat
- Using momentum to start the curl
- Stopping well short of knee flexion
- Letting the stack slam at the top
PROGRESSION
Make the next session comparable.
Keep your setup and range similar, log your working sets, reps and load, then use the previous session as your reference.
