HOW TO
Pull-Up technique.
Use a load and range you can control consistently.
- Take a comfortable overhand grip on the bar and begin from a controlled hang.
- Brace your trunk and set the shoulders without aggressively shrugging.
- Drive the elbows down as you pull your chest toward the bar.
- Finish without craning the neck or kicking for momentum.
- Lower under control until the arms are long again.

MUSCLES WORKED
Lats, upper back and biceps.
Muscle contribution changes with setup, range, load and individual technique.
COMMON MISTAKES
Keep the rep consistent.
- Swinging or kipping when the goal is a strict rep
- Pulling the chin forward instead of moving the body as one unit
- Cutting the bottom range short
- Losing control on the descent
PROGRESSION
Make the next session comparable.
Keep your setup and range similar, log your working sets, reps and load, then use the previous session as your reference.
