HOW TO
Leg Press technique.
Use a load and range you can control consistently.
- Set the seat so your hips and lower back stay supported through a comfortable depth.
- Place both feet securely on the platform at a repeatable width.
- Release the safety handles and lower the platform under control.
- Descend only as far as you can keep the pelvis and back stable.
- Press the platform away without locking the knees aggressively.

MUSCLES WORKED
Quads, glutes and adductors.
Muscle contribution changes with setup, range, load and individual technique.
COMMON MISTAKES
Keep the rep consistent.
- Letting the pelvis roll away from the pad at the bottom
- Allowing the knees to collapse inward
- Using a depth you cannot control
- Bouncing out of the bottom position
PROGRESSION
Make the next session comparable.
Keep your setup and range similar, log your working sets, reps and load, then use the previous session as your reference.
